Jeli Rose Art

Art heals

Jeli Rose Art was created to inspire, heal, and encourage you to color outside the lines of life. Step out of your comfort zone, ride a board, smoke from a funky pipe, stare at a painting- not your phone, do some yoga and express yourself . Be who you want to be, express your soul, be unique.

Art found me

Art is an outlet

a little about me

My name is Angelica Rose Brown, but everyone calls me Jeli! I’m a cancer baby, born and raised in sunny Florida. Growing up I have always been surrounded by creativity and a house where family is the heart. Art has taught me so much about life. It's challenged me to learn new trades such as woodworking or vinyl wrapping something completely off canvas and entirely out of my comfort zone! It’s taught me to be patient, something I’m still learning haha, and most importantly, it’s taught me how to heal.

My inspiration

When I was around 12 I was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and later treated with a shunt. Although treated, I struggled for years with this new way of life and it wasn’t until I found art that I truly began to heal. It allowed me to accept the things I cannot change, and change the things I can. It allowed me to paint a new perspective of life. It gave me an outlet and made me unique.

Healing others

Henna is one of the first art mediums I fell in love with. Its intricate designs and cultural history amazes me. Henna, also known as Lawsonia Inermis, is a plant used to create temporary designs on the skin. Henna inspired me to heal others through art by sharing my talent with people who are struggling with cancer or Alopecia. A close friend of mine battling with chemo expressed to me how henna made her feel so beautiful while another part of her was being damaged. Henna can bring comfort and confidence. It really does show how healing art can be.
